The Cold Made Me Do It

Hyacinth roots growing nicely in the cold on the porch. Maybe by January I'll bring them inside and wait while I start some more for forcing.

Say welcome to the newest member of the family. When the weather gets cool and gardening outdoors stops, my desire for impulse buys in bloom starts. That'll be my story and I'm sticking to it for any houseplants I buy over fall and winter. A ti plant has been calling my name and I broke down and bought one of them 2 weeks ago. It's doing wonderful, so far... Unfortunately I haven't found jasmine yet which  was available this time last fall. At least I can keep this alive and hopefully help it to bloom again next fall.

Did you read that? No propagation.

Tomorrows Task. Time to transition to Christmas and I pray, finish planting bulbs because it's going to be in the 20's at night by next Friday and I need to get them into the ground before it freezes. See you tomorrow.
