A Windy Day

It's feeling like fall with winter approaching. Today I wore my hat for the first time since last winter. It felt warm with the whipping winds today. Tonight we expect our first frost. I've been preparing for Thanksgiving the last few weeks. The house receives it's best cleaning and organizing before the holidays. At least as much organizing that can be done in a tiny house. Couldn't find prepared turkey stock so tomorrow I'll make my own cooking it slowly for hours. When it's ready, skimmed and chilled I'll put into the freezer till the week of Thanksgiving when I need if for my stuffing.

It's absolutely beautiful today. A day to be outdoors planting bulbs. Not until after Thanksgiving though for me. That's become the time I've planted the last few years. Paper whites need starting so maybe I'll do that today along with a list of other chores including making banana bread.

I'll get to the yard after Thanksgiving and take in my elephant ear bulb.

The first seed catalogue for 2019 and a holiday gift one.

Blooms for the kitchen. Looking forward to when the jasmine arrives at the produce market. This is the first time I've seen orange miniature roses. I'll have to get it survive some how and not get disappointed if all the leaves fall off. It should do okay in the cool kitchen window.
