Planting Container Bulbs

Bulb planting day on the porch and thinking of fall bulb catalogues arriving, lol.

Narcissus left for the window box, muscari for the front flower bed, and tulips for containers on the steps. I'll plant them next week then I'll finally be done.

White hyacinths to go into pots.

I'll start with these.

Iris

Tulips

Topped off with potting soil and watered. Time to start growing roots.

Dahlia tubers left on the porch. Thought they were frozen and dead but not so. I'll put them in the basement with my sweet potato tuber till spring.

When do you start watering cyclamens again?

Shouldn't pelargoniums be dormant? I haven't watered it but it's making new growth. Thought it was too cold on the porch but they make it there this winter. I did water it a little today and hope that wasn't a bad decision.

I cleaned up a little bit.

Out front.

Wintersun paper whites will soon bloom. Think I'll like these more than the variety I usually buy.

I was still waiting for my daughter to add ornaments to the tree. I've since started to add them. It'll soon be time to take it down and start seeds. Looking forward to ordering my small selection before they good selections are gone.

My pine garland seems to have disappeared. But it's in the house somewhere. I used my old garland and would love live garland this year but it would be so dry by Christmas. The smell would be wonderful but I'll have to enjoy it every time I enter the front door. Surprised to decorate some this year. I wasn't in the mood but love the lights since I've done some decorating.
