Heat Wave

 On a hot day in Philly.

Snap dragon seedlings starting to bloom.

I will always plant stock from seeds. They do so well. I never thought stock did this well in the summer as it's a cool season annual.

My poppies from seeds are small but if they're perennial they should really be large next spring.

A few sunflowers and zinnias are some where in there.

We had heavy rain last night but hydrangea Annabelle is always asking for more water. Our area expects more rain tonight so I will not be watering it today.

The pretty blue flowers from false indigo have gone and seed pods are forming. No more beautiful blooms until spring but I love the shape of the leaves.

Honey Suckle still blooming.

Black eye Susan has filled in. Waiting for blooms. It got real tall last summer.

Stachy and bee balm.

The last few blooms on the foxglove. It appears to have already dropped it's seeds. Haven't had luck with them reseeding in the past.

Time for a cool drink.
