Drew back the curtains in the kitchen window last week and to my surprise, she's in bloom. I had no idea. What started out this size died down to one small piece a few years ago. I decided to put it in my kitchen window and try to save it. Since then its really grown but never bloomed again since I bought her. In my home it's in a clay pot and loves lots of water. It seems to like to stay moist but dry between watering. I started giving her a little fertilizer in the water when I watered in early spring and look what happened. I think the light from the kitchen window helps and the coolness sitting in that spot Fall and Winter. Should be able to keep one alive now. Time to put another one sitting in my living room onto the window seal. It does bloom but with few buds. Hope to get another surprise this year.
