Dahlias are beautiful and last summer was my first try with them and I was hooked. My grandmother always grew tall red ones on the side of the house in Georgia, just beautiful. The tall ones require stalking because some grow 3-5 feet. Although I stalked mine, I didn't keep close watch and instead of attaching them to the stake as they grew I loss track and they started to curl and grow low to the ground. Beside zinnias, they put on the best blooming floral summer display until frost, and I love blooms.
The hyacinths look like end of season bulbs but are still firm and hopefully will be beautiful in the spring. |
The web site said they're a mixture of tulips so each bloom will be a surprise. |
