| Sometime in October. I'm hoping to go out this weekend and cut down the perennials in the flower bed and plant a few bulbs. I'd rather do it now before it gets all mushy when frost comes. |
| Nicotiana pulled. It was very pretty this season. In it's place I planted foxgloves I grew last winter. Kept them in my yard until now. They did very well after transplanting. I'll show how they look when I plant bulbs in the bed. |

| Foxgloves from the yard. |
| My retirement mum stayed in bloom for weeks. |
| Don't know why pansies in this container did not do well this year. They were eventually removed for bulbs. |
| Pelargoniums, caladiums, and begonia tubers pulled and put in a paper bag to go in the basement for spring. |
| These plants were treated for possible insects and are now indoors. |
| Will sprinkle outdoors later in winter for spring. |
| To be planted. |
| Hope to overwinter the ferns in the basement until spring. |
| Forced hyacinths a few days ago and placed in the basement. |
| Bulbs planted in this container. |
| There weren't many light colors in the mix. |
Double flowering ones for my daughter.
| Soaked in soapy water to try to try to prevent insects coming in. They looked healthy for one week indoors and then now look dead. Hopefully the roots will stay alive and new growth will return in spring. |
| Ornamental sweat potato vines I'm trying to plant and see if anything will emerge. |
| It's not Autumn without a trip to the Linvilla Orchard. Zinnia from the orchard. |
The hay ride was wonderful as always. We didn't pick apple this year. Brought the at their store and the best pies I've tasted.
| Houseplants on the porch were treated and taken indoors. |
| Will sprinkle them outdoors in winter and hope to have some this spring. |
| From the produce market today. I also went to the nursery for paper whites and amaryllis. |

| Tried to get the one with the most unopened bloom so that I'll have blooms for a longer time. |
| Paper whites |
| Cactus in bloom. What happened to the other blooms? |
| Next month, seed starting time on the shelf. |
