Memorial Day

The blooms of hibiscus are so beautiful. After I bought her different colors were available but too late. Although I was thinking of hummingbirds when I bought this color. The color red seems to draw them. The only problem is they require a lot of water in direct sun or they look horrible.

Did you play with pin wheels when you were a child? I did and still do. I'm still a child at heart.

The flag for the United States, an Easter basket and bunny, and a defoliated poinsettia. I have to put Easter away.

Turkey burger anyone? Mustard and roll below.

The planter updated a little. Coleus eaten by unknown insect. Vinca mushy and rotted from so much rain in May. I remove 2 elephant ear bulbs and accidently put them out for trash day. I'll have to get those out of the bag and try to save them. They hadn't rooted and started to get soft from too much moisture. Maybe I can save them.

Jenny seems happy no matter the weather.

Hope the torenia can tolerate the heat. This is only the second time I've had them.

Something is really enjoying my coleus. Lets see if some organic spray helps.

Pulled the pansies and started to plant sidewalk containers. The broom bush has finished blooming. It was beautiful.

Okay, it looks a little empty but it'll fill out and I'll add more of my seedlings.

The daisies have taken over and have grown to over 2 feet tall.

The poppy is beautiful this year.

My foxglove seedlings are also huge although the picture does not capture it's size.

Does that look like a caterpillar on the pansy? I guess I should find out before everything gets eaten.

Red honeysuckle.

Kitty in her seat and me in mine. No you can't see me. I'm resting. Low humidity, birds chirping, and it's a beautiful day. I've been fighting the squirrel in the yard over the bird feeder as I expected. But the reddest male cardinal I've seen has also discovered it. So far by the time I get my camera he's gone. He watches me from the tree canopy though. I've seen him.

Herbs, hot pepper, and tomatoes on the porch to be replanted and a new piece of glass for one of the windows. I broke it with a flower pot. Now I'll repair it, 3 weeks later. We've been using the basal and that's helping it to fill out.

I love Angelonia.

Have a beautiful day.
