September

Time for mums. Love them or hate them. Love here. Spent last Saturday having a shopping spree in the plants, flowers, and bulbs. Bulbs have arrived, mums, and pansies. It's early yet, no corn stalks. An early gift to myself before my birthday next week. You know a lady has to treat herself.

It's early but I had to have a pumpkin although tiny.

A new urn plant. My other lived for 2 years, produced a baby and died. The baby didn't survive once removed from the mother plant although it was large.

When I bought these a lady in the garden center mad the statement hope they don't die. I can't pass them up. If it gets hot next week we're in trouble. And of course it's ninety degrees today. Not for long.

Planted in container on the porch along with mint, basil, and sage.

Amsonia has beautiful blue flowers. Can't wait to see them in spring. On the clearance rack.

Can't pass up African violets for one dollar. Eye candy for winter.

Primex had a nice selection of bulbs but I controlled myself.

Going to start forcing them this weekend.

For the spring.

More insect prevention for the houseplants before they go inside.

The pansies have started arriving but not much variety yet. Until then, these will do.

New purchase from Primex. Lemon Lime Philodendron.

Mean while the zinnias seem to be trying to get in as many blooms as possible before frost.
