Almost Spring

On the porch.

Bulbs coming along.

Two weeks ago the 60 degree weather got to me and I planted this heuchera along with another, primroses, and some hyacinths from the porch in my outdoor container. Desperate weather calls for desperate actions. Or temporary bad decisions.

My the hydrangea will live another year.
Second hydrangea

Letting foliage die from saffron crocus till fall.

Do you still have pumpkins?

Removed boxwood from center of container and trimmed the roots. It was taking over the container and didn't let anything grow well the past couple of years. Added some fresh soil. So what happened when we had 20 degree nights again? The primrose froze like pansies do but didn't die. Everything else of course did okay. Next time I'll wait a few weeks until March. Until then, I have something to look at.

A beautiful day.

There should be a few narcissus left to bloom that squirrels didn't dig up.

Norway Maple soon to bud out.

Seedlings I sowed are starting to germinate. Unbelievable with very cold nights and frost.

Pansy from last fall.

Will soon remove this off my tulips. To protect from the critters.

Soon everything will awaken.

Biennial foxglove seedling.
Will trim off last years dead leaves from lambs ear, soon.

Sedum emerging.

Can't wait to see them.

Blooming in the house with spicy fragrance.

Just planted. Three more to plant in March. Will stagger so I'll have blooms for a while.
